First of all Id like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is enjoying it so far.

Please forgive me for all the babbling you are about to read, But its so much information, I just don't know how to sort it all out, and make it easier to read, so I'm just gonna wing it and type it all out, as I see best, and hope you can decipher this unorganized story. :) I'm staying in this really old hotel, while my grandmother is in the hospital for a heart attack and pneumonia. The hotel was built in the 1800's, as well as part of the hospital. The hotel is connected to the hospital by a very long series of underground hallways. So whenever I want to go visit my grandmother I can go from the hotel and walk down the underground hallways and it takes me right to the first floor of the hospital. Well the underground hallways are directly under where the original hospital stands. That part of the hospital was built back in the 1800's, along with the hotel that I'm staying in. The hotel used to be housing for the nurses back in the 1800's. The original hospital is I believe just offices now. Its made from old granite taken from the river banks behind it.

Here is a link to a picture of the original hospital.. I cant figure out how to put a picture in the post, so this is just gonna have to do.

Now, back to the point of this story... As I was walking in the underground hallway today, I saw a black shadow off the corner of my right eye. It was standing on the mail room stairs. When I turned to look, it was gone. Also in the corridors under the original part of the hospital, there are the round mirrors at the corner's of the hallways so you can see around the corner.. I saw a person in the mirror as I was rounding the corner, and when I got around the corner, whoever it was just disappeared. It makes me wonder, if the hotel that I'm staying in, is haunted too. I never had an experience yet, and Ive been here for 5 nights now.. Is there a way I can find out?

Date: 1/21/2011 8:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 24673    You said you fear being laughed at if you ask the staff questions. I use to feel that way and when I finally started talking to people it was like a dam burst--people have their own experiences are are likewise afraid to talk to people, so they also love the opportunity. Give it a try, you might be surprised. I see you wrote this post a while ago, how are things going now?
