1" slice of cucumber (take seeds out, skin, and cut up into chunks) 1/2 apple (skinned, cored and cut into chunks) 1/2 banana (sliced) juice of 1/2 lime juice of 1/2 lemon juice of 1 orange 3-5 baby carrots, chopped 4 oz. Diet v8 Berry splash 5-10 ice cubes
I would suggest having all the fruit and veg cut up and ready before you get your bullet out. I bought a manual citrus juicer today. I got those ready. I had my fruit and veg prepared, so I then got the Magic Bullet. I used a party mug to mix in. I put ice in first, the the Diet Berry Splash. I then added 1/4 c. of my citrus cocktail. Then I put the apple, banana, cucumber and lastly, the carrots. I attached the cross blade and blended for about 6 seconds. Because the carrots and ice are rather hard, I make sure to use the shake and pulse method. Blend, shake blend, etc. It helps get everything to a nice consistency and VOILA!! Healthy, delightful drink. FYI I would say this makes 2-3 servings. I will leave you with a picture of my accouterments:
I just wanna add I love my new citrus juicer. I can't stand pulp and I can't eat oranges and the like normally. I need to have the juice. This was $3.50 at Wal*mart and works like a dream. Easy clean-up and you can store the juice and also it had a pour spout. The Magic Bullet is a dream machine as well. Unbelievably versatile and simple to use. It can make or aid you to make basically anything in the kitchen from cutting garlic, to omelettes to hummus and so much more.
