I have been writing and reading for as long as I can remember. I have written a couple fictions here. This is an excerpt from "Katrina's Journey":
"Katrina immediately lost her smile as she stepped into the foyer of the massive building. Two things happened simultaneously to cause this. The door slammed shut behind her. Katrina turned around to look at what had closed the door. No one was there. She got frightened, so she whipped around again. Katrina backed up quickly when she saw two imposing people in front of her. These people appeared to be warriors of some kind as they both had on metallic armor. It was a metal Katrina had never laid eyes on before. It seemed to be almost…alive.
Their armor was iridescent. The male had what appeared to be a sword and the female had what might have been a ray gun. The two were speaking to each other in very agitated tones. Katrina’s back hit the door and she began to hyperventilate as they got closer. She could not understand their language, but she could feel their animosity as though it was a living thing clawing at her solar plexus. Katrina involuntarily flinched, but hurriedly opened her eyes. Suddenly a voice boomed inside her head: “How dare you desecrate our sanctum with your presence!” Katrina’s eyes widened and her jaw dropped open out of shock and fear. She answered out loud :” I had no idea I’d offended you, on the beach, this place called to me.” The voice replied: It calls to one and all, but the likes of you are not worthy to be here.” Katrina dared to face her mental attacker. It was the male, he was at least 7 feet tall and as she timidly looked into his eyes, he was scowling down at her, his sword still at the ready. He thundered in her head once more :”What have you done to earn entrance?” "
Fair enough. Now we will compare that to a little excerpt I read from the Sylvia Browne book "End of Days" (pg. 22):
" A variety of sources are convinced that they were extraterrestrials who came to Earth more than fifty thousand years ago. They were human shape, fair skinned, and were giants,averaging from seven to ten feet tall. Excavations have unearthed skeletons that confirm the existence of a race that grew to and exceeded that height."
Just so we are clear, both of these story excerpts are talking about people from Atlantis. Now, what I find so intriguing is how I described them versus what the "factual" evidence says. Hominid extraterrestrials who were giant in stature. Certainly sounds like what I wrote about. Iridescent armor,ray guns, telepathy, gigantic. It's all there. Now I would like to say that I have never read this End of Days book before now. I also have not done much research of Atlantis at all. I do not ever recall coming across this theory. The story of "Katrina's Journey" was just a little escapism. As a matter of fact, I basically threw it together in no time. Why would I describe the Atlanteans exactly how some (possible) evidence purports them to be? I honestly did not know what to think. As soon as I read that little paragraph in Sylvia's book, I was awestruck. I immediately mentally compared their description to my writing. I also want to add, I have never read Plato's dialogues on Atlantis, nor have I really done much documentary watching or scientific journal studying. That is why I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of these giant skeletons claimed to have been found. All I can say is it struck me as pretty creepy how similar the accounts were. I posted my story 11/8/07 and Sylvia's book was not released until summer of 2008. I would like some input. What do you guys think of this odd coincidence? What do you believe about Atlantis (if anything)? One last thing before I go. I want to show a picture I found of where some people have come to conclude Atlantis would have been:
