The Ronald Mcdonald Houses are a great thing. It helps families stay together in comfort at their time of need. You get room and board, support and so much more.they also do local volunteer work and provide grants and scholarships.I visited a very sick kid in a Ronald Mcdonald House and it was as comfortable as could be given the circumstances. It was a gorgeous place that was not nearly as depressing as hospitals can be When I was younger, there was a boy in our class who had leukemia. Our whole school banded together to get pop tabs for the Ronald Mcdonald House. We filled a giant oil-barrel sized container. That memory stuck with me all of these years. I had thought they stopped doing pop tab collections, but I found out they still take them. You can read about it here

I decided to get involved. Over the holiday season I will be doing pop tab drives in local businesses. A couple ice cream buckets or coffee cans full will not change the world, but it will help. If you would like to get involved, check your area to make sure they take the tabs and go from there. :) HAve a great tofurkey Day, USM !!
