Update: Well, I didn't get it. I think it was because I said in my response that I was unable to work Monday or Tuesday nights, and they request that you be able to work any time. I may email them back and ask why, but anyway that didn't take long. Thank you all so much for the prayers, I'm sure another opportunity will present itself.

I believe in my last update I posted that I recently began a new project with the same company I've been with for a little over a year and a half. This was a good and bad thing. Bad in that it cost me dearly on the paycheck, in the time lost switching from one project to another, and good because I will be making a small amount more than what I was before.

What I need prayers for, however, is for yet another opportunity that has presented itself. I'm only on day 9 of training for this new project, and received an offer to apply for a position that I had previously applied for (same company) and made it to the finals, so to speak. It came down to 2 people, and they chose the other person because they had a little more experience time-wise in that line of work than I had. I'm not sure if that person left, or if they just opened another available for the same type of position.

I used my resume' that I sent in a few months ago, and am waiting to hear back from then. Being in training for one project does not disqualify you for accepting a different position with the company, so I'm not really worried about that.

If I do get this job, it will be a considerable jump in pay, more than just a few cents, and right now my family could really use it. Unfortunately it wouldn't come in time for Christmas, but still..I can do the work, I've proven myself over and over to this company, and I would really appreciate any prayers that I get the chance this go-round to show them I really am capable of doing the job.

I think since I was one of the finalists last time, I stand a pretty good chance at getting the job. But I've thought that before too. I don't want to get my hopes up yet again, but I'm really hoping they give me a shot at it this time.

So any prayers, good thoughts, vibes, whatever you can spare, would be greatly appreciated!
