You were in my life like a Dad

Every time I saw you, my heart was glad

You were a great role model for everyone you knew

You had great work ethic and your heart was true

You golfed and bowled like no other

Thanks to you I have my sisters and brothers

I remember holidays with the family

You helped make Christmas and Easter what they ought to be

You carried yourself with ease, grace and humility

You seemed to always have tranquility

You taught me how to be a person of poise

I still remember birthday and Christmas presents, all the little toys

You were giving and kind as long as I can recall

Your loss sent my heart into a free fall

They say you never know what you have until it's severed

I thought I would have you until forever

You were a big part of my life and such a good man

You touched many in your lifespan

I remember your voice and your smile, the twinkle in your eye

The time came too soon for us to say good bye

I am truly glad to have known you as long as I did

You were there for me since I was a kid

I believe you are in Heaven where you belong
