Prayers needed for local family ~FieryMomOf2~

I just received the most shocking news of my life about an hour ago. A man from my church, choir director, former band director for one of the local schools here, and one of the most upstanding and wonderful man you could ever hope to meet, committed suicide earlier this afternoon. I think he was mid-50's. I don't know all the details, I'm assuming his wife Robin came home and found him in the backyard. He leaves behind a wife and 2 grown sons. The whole community is absolutely in shock. If you could spare some prayers for the Joe Woodson family, it would be greatly appreciated. He was dearly loved by everyone that knew him and will be greatly missed. I can't imagine what his family is going through right now.

Date: 11/4/2010 8:54:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63201    Thank you all so much. Being a "suicide survivor" myself, I can totally relate to what his wife is going through. I didn't find my husband that night, I let the sheriff's office go into the pasture looking for him, but I heard the shot and knew what happened. Just such an awful thing for everyone involved...
Date: 11/5/2010 1:33:00 AM  From Authorid: 37843    Wow, they're in my prayers. www.afsp.org and www.outofthedarkness.org are websites for suicide survivors, family/friends who have lost people to suicide and suicide awareness/prevention.
