I was with several people in what looked like a bedroom but was very messy. We had been surviving there for a while it seemed. I remember that I touched a wall and it rippled like water that's when I found out that we were underwater at the time. The only way out of the room was going through a chute that led you underwater and you had to hold your breath. I went to the opening of the chute and someone was throwing down supplies for us. Unfortunately, all they got were packages of hot chocolate in powder form. I yelled up the chute to stop getting hot chocolate, we had enough to get real food and called them an idiot (gave everyone a good laugh!). Suddenly, the hot chocolate stopped and nothing was coming down. I knew something was wrong so I went through the chute to the top and saw that our supply guy was gone. I noticed the air was stale and the sky was a funny color of orange. There were people walking around but somehow I knew they were not people that's why we were hiding. The water we were hiding under was a huge fountain in the middle of a city. There were a lot of bodies in the pool from the "people" trying to get to us but not making it. The "people" are hard to describe as they were different, not like human, not mutations, not anything I've ever seen. When they saw me walking around the fountain, they started coming after me, slowly, not running. I was amazed at how fast I could outrun the lumbering people. All throughout the city, things were in a state of decay as nothing was cared for and there was no vegetation anywhere. I saw a group of these people cornered the supply guy (who in RL was a classmate of mine in college) on a scaffolding and he couldn't get down. I managed to distract the people away and we both ran for the fountain with the people now running faster than before. I looked back and noticed some running after us on all four limbs now and gaining on us. We both made it to the bottom of the chute and they pulled us into the bedroom hideout. Then we shut the chute door and heard the people that followed us scratching on the door until it died off and they drowned. Then my classmate opened his backpack that he was carrying and somehow pulled out a full dinner with chicken and mashed potatoes and stuffing. I was just about to dig in when I woke up. How it changed my life:The "people" were strange in that they were not like any human I've ever seen, deformed or not. They had a strange vibe coming off of them and something was just off-kilter with them.
