Date: 10/6/2010 9:18:00 AM From Authorid: 22852 @}~~ Having been bullied for years when I was a child I can say that it is very traumatic to the soul. Sadly children having been killing themselves for years over this but in todays times it is even worse because of the internet, so not only are children {and adults} being bullied in person but now over the computers and cell phones. It is a terrible thing and when it happens in the schools, the staff doesn't do enough to stop it and if a child finally fights back "they" get in trouble. Makes me sick, always has, always will. |

It is cruel to make fun of people. The perpertrators are never convicted of a crime, or punished...Or it gets to the point where the victim gets so mad and enraged and goes on a shooting rampage, and then they become the "bad" guy. |

Psyguy, you are a bad guy if you go on a shooting rampage no matter what the reason is. This is so sad, I wonder if she had an undetected heart problem?? I hope this post is updated when they find out what she died of. She was a pretty little girl and so unfair that because she was still innocent kids chose to make fun of her. That's our society today, make the kids grow up fast and the kids that remain innocent are somehow the freaks. |

kelly your missing my point..what im saying is if I was a nice kid, but bullied and noone helps me or listens to me that I get so enraged I go out and want to kill my tormentors, which I would never think of doing if I wasn't bullied, I become the victim twice cause they see me as the "bad" guy and not the bullies. And it's the "victim" that gets caught not the actual bully. |

At 12-13-14 It is very tramatic. A boy use to pick on me everyday, Our lockers were side by side, me in the middle of two mean bullys. After one really bad day of being bullied I remember taking a bath with a butter knife, curled with knees to my face, my head resting on my knees, rocking back and forth, back and forth, trying to find the courage to cut myself. I was sobbing so hard, My mom kept knocking at the door, she couldnt get in, i had it locked. she was yeling what is going on in there? I remember afterwards laying in my moms bed wearing her robe. She was on the phone yelling to the principal to get my locker moved. The next day they did. problems lessened. but they were still in my class. (a class of six so it's hard to getaway from them) The Next fall- they both had been held back. then they dropped out of school. |

Psyguy, seems that kids who say they've been bullied and go on shooting rampages (like columbine) end up shooting everyone but the bullies. No, the shooters are no longer sympathetic victims. My sister was severely bullied all through school...I mean horribly mistreated by her scumbag fellow classmates and even teachers,...yes, teachers. She somehow overcame that, in college she joined a soriety and married a lawyer. She's a bigger person than I am because she's forgiven her classmates. One of her tormentors who called her a lesbian because she finally found someone who would be friends with her in high school, married a woman who left him for another woman. I can't help but being pleased over that. |

Date: 10/6/2010 2:48:00 PM From Authorid: 64514 I'm so sick of all the Bullying in schools, they should make these bullys spend some time in jail (even just for a day). That poor girl, why didn't her parents take her to the doctor if she said her chest hurt? |
Date: 10/6/2010 9:22:00 PM From Authorid: 63962 Poor girl! It seems like bullying is getting worse these past few years. Kids have always been tormenting and horrible to each other, though, but yet in "older years" you never heard much about people dying like this because of bullying, as you hear these days. I wonder what changed? |
Date: 10/6/2010 10:50:00 PM From Authorid: 12862 That is awful. I was bullied also in school. From Kindergarten through my Senior year. In Junior High and High School, I too had a few teachers that were mean to me. I had this one girl who's locker was always to the left of me and she would open hers right on me while I was trying to get something out. Our Senior year, MINE was on the left so she couldn't slam it on me. I hated school for years. I still have troubles forgiving alot of my class mates. They have tried to add me on facebook and I won't let them. I talked to one class mate a few months ago and he said he doesn't remember being mean to me. Who whatever... |
Date: 10/7/2010 2:26:00 AM From Authorid: 18516 I was bullied at the same age this poor girl was. It got to the point where I nolonger wanted to go to school, I was picked at, I was physically touched, it was a nightmare. Did the school help me? NO. Perhaps if school officials dealt with bullying first hand then maybe just maybe we could put an end to it. Discipline these cruel kids instead of let them run rampant & continue to terrorize fellow students. I had enough once middle school was over & my parents took me out of public school. I still have a lot of anger towards these people & to be quite honest I would love nothing more than to knock the ever-loving crap out of every last one of them for what they did to me. I can only hope that karma comes around to them. Look at the recent deaths today because of bullying, kids are taking their own lives because they've been bullied to the point where they think the only solution is suicide. Something needs to change. |
Date: 10/7/2010 1:12:00 PM From Authorid: 28848 Stress can cause physical conditions but I think she probably had a preexisting condition that may have been aggravated by the additional stress from the bullying. |
Date: 10/7/2010 3:25:00 PM From Authorid: 63121 OMG! That is so sad!!! That poor girl. Nobody should go like that. And her father.... must be so heart broken. |
Date: 10/7/2010 3:29:00 PM From Authorid: 30229 OMG!!! WHEN is our Government going to put TOUGH Laws into place to STOP this. They have been playing all around it, making all sorts of excuses, but now is the time to ACT!!! There are just TOO many suicides, deaths and attempted suicides because of Bullying, and I personally am SICK OF IT when I know there can be TOUGH LAWS enacted to fix this!!!!!!!! |

This is horrible... people are so cruel. I am sure all the stress didn't help her. Donuts, I read your comment, I am so sorry that happened to you. I went through something similar and was tormented at school by these two girls... I still remember their names and I was 12 at the time, I am 26 now. And like you, they dropped out of school shortly afterward. But the damage was done and I came home crying everyday to my dad, this was only two years after my mom passed away, and I refused to go to school. I went back and finished out the year but I still remember how mean these people were to me all these years. |
Date: 10/10/2010 12:04:00 PM From Authorid: 62918 I read so many of these stories every week, and was not only bullied, but confronted my little brother's bullies as well. This breaks my heart. I hope that when I have kids, there's a way to keep them from these cruel children. Why are kids being allowed to do and say these things and where are the adults????????? Something needs to change, and it needs to change NOW. |
Date: 11/7/2010 8:27:00 PM From Authorid: 15319 Total bull.. Nobody dies of being bullied, period. Just like nobody dies of a broken heart. You may die because you stopped eating, or neglected yourself due to your sadness, but emotions in and of themselves do not kill people. The normal reaction that people have to this is to try and pass absolutely retarded laws against bullying or teasing, because otherwise someones feelings might be hurt. Every single kid I can ever remember from middle school, from the nerds, to the gay kids, to the football players and the tennis team members, was picked on at some point before we graduated together. It is not the end of the world, nor sufficient cause for additional laws. |
Date: 11/7/2010 8:28:00 PM From Authorid: 15319 And Gail, why SHOULD there be laws to stop this? Do you not feel as though the Gov intrudes in your life enough as it is? How about instead of passing laws, the schools enact tougher policies and leave the judicial system out of it? |
