What an interesting post Sage. I only ever do the one wash, figured years ago the two washes was a marketing ploy, use more product that way. I do pluck out the grey hairs. LOL. No damage so far, touch wood. I do colour my hair at home, and the products are gentle and seemingly no damage to my hair. I have very curly hair, and to lessen the frizziness, I will rinse with cold water sometimes. It does work. I'm a shocker for not getting to the hairdressers for a regular trim. I go when I can't stand the length anymore. lol Thanks for the post Sage, I really enjoyed reading it. :-) |
Date: 7/26/2010 2:36:00 PM From Authorid: 10245 clean is clean, but most shampoos do have ingredients other than those used to get the dirt out... and CAN change the way your hair behaves. I'm not buying that one. And a cool water rinse does help to fight the frizzes, as long as you don't fire up a blow dryer and blow your cuticle open. |

I went through Cosmetology, and we learned about these myths through the College I went to. I guess that is why I never really cared how long my hair got.. it usually always looks healthy. Now it is below where I sit, Lol) About the hair coloring and perm solutions, now I know those have changed so much for the better over the years, thank goodness! I wash my hair every other day, and only one time. Over-kill never was one of my traits I do shower daily though I use mild and gentle organic soaps and shampoo and conditioner.. after all, my body deserves no more added chemicals, than what the government already allows to be put in my food and in the air Great Post!
