The same thing happened to me. I had left my purse in the car in my own driveway. Somebody smashed my window in the middle of the night with a spark plug. The officer said the spark plug shatters the window with very little noise. The jerks used my card all over town at like 3:30 in the morning. They were even able to write a 450 dollar check at Walmart during that time. Hmmmmm.....They must have known the checker I think. I just got a notice in the mail a couple of weeks ago that they caught the guy at least. He is not giving up his 2 female accomplices though. And, the women are the ones on the surveillance tapes using my cards. I am just thankful it was my purse and not my house or children though. I hope everything works out for your girlie. It is a pain in the bottom, but it is just material items. Take care, |

The good thing is that no one was hurt. Objects can be replaced, lives cannot. I know that it's very frustrating but you need to try to look at the bigger picture and everyone is still alive and healthy. |

HA! Crooks deserved it!! I recently had my wallet and 500 dollar phone stollen. They got 60 dollars in cash and ran my card at several places totaling 270 dollars (b/c it was nearly 1 am and so banks were closed)--Bank didn't charge me but made me mad they were able to use the cards at all before I could have them canceled. I'm glad you guys were on it SO quick! I get SO mad over this sort of stuff--I mean--I WORK for MY money, y'know? I also tried checking trash cans for the rest of the purse and such--no luck either. This happened about a month and a half ago. I'm still angry about it when I think about it. Sorry it happened to your daughter, I know how much it stinks |

I know it won't do anything for the feeling of violation, but check with your home owner's or renter's insurance (if you have it) and see if some of the stuff that was stolen can be replaced through your policy. You might not get full value, but what you do get can help out.
My dad's truck used to get broken into on a semi-regular basis, and all of his work tools were stolen on several occasions, his home owner's always covered the majority of them. |

I truly believe what comes around goes around and the thief will get what is coming to him/her. I am truly sorry your daughter had to go through that! |

I'm so sorry that happened to my goddaughter and you. It makes me SO angry!!! It's like no where is safe anymore. I once dropped my wallet at the post office. Two women when I came out were staring at me and they were in a van. One of them gave me my wallet and said the other lady had wanted to keep it. I take my purse inside even when I check my mail. You just never know. Love,G. |
