Dr. Pepper Brownies...yum..Sage

DR. PEPPER BROWNIES

1 c. butter
1 c. Dr. Pepper (no substitutes)
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon (opt.)
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Heat until melted the butter and Dr. Pepper. Do not boil. Mix dry ingredients. Combine buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla. Add milk mixture to dry ingredients. Then add Dr. Pepper mixture.
Bake in greased 18"x12" pan for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°F.

FROSTING: Bring to boil 1/2 cup butter, 6 tablespoons Dr. Pepper and 3 tablespoons cocoa. Add 1 box (1 lb.) powdered sugar. Spread on warm cake and cut into squares when cool.
