What are some jobs that you could never do? - - KRISTA - -

We all have certain careers that we could simply never do due to morals or certain circumstances. What are yours?

Personally, I'd never be able to be a veterinarian. I love animals beyond all belief, and that's why. I'd never be able to take the life of an animal into my own hands. I also would never be able to put an animal to sleep despite how much pain it was in. Blood and gore isn't my type of career (or at least the real kind - I'm going to design video games).

Date: 6/21/2010 4:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 14464    I am sure there are tons of jobs I would turn down. I couldn't be a vet either mainly because animal fur and my nose do not like each other. I am also not good with blood and guts that also eliminates nursing and doctor to real people. I am with Zema too with the toilet cleaning, I hate even cleaning my own. It doesn't help I have a 5 year old boy who is always in such a hurry that it's a miracle if he aims correctly.
Date: 6/21/2010 5:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 27414    There are 2 jobs I wouldn't want and they're both self-explanatory. 1 is cleaning bird crap out of cuckoo clocks. I suppose you could connect this to cleaning bathrooms since the outcome is the same, YUCK. 2 is picking fly crap out of pepper. My eyes aren't what they used to be and then their's the cleaning bathroom thing again. And I lost my tweezers!

LOL!!!!

Date: 6/21/2010 5:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 22852    @}~~ LOL @ Pianoman! I could not be an underarm sniffer or anything with bad odors.
Date: 6/21/2010 6:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 30097    I'm amused at your personal choice, since i'm in the veterinary field.

There's alot of things i couldn't do..since i'm a wuss.

I suppose things with loud noises. I'm not good with that. Anything that would involve severe multitasking...

Date: 6/21/2010 7:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 11097    I could never work in an office for 8 hours behind a desk doing any sort of business work... I would go insane. lol
Date: 6/21/2010 7:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 4144    sewing factory, cashier, anything medical....no blood, guts and needles for me! i guess office work is about the only thing i'm cut out for.
Date: 6/21/2010 8:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    No restraunt work or cashiering...I hate people watching me and having a time limit...

I am more of a behind the scene kind of person, and a lone wolf when it comes to work...

That's why I'm drawn into music, photography, artsy type of jobs where I can pace myself, and work with no boss....

Like Miley Cyrus new song "I can't be tamed"...I could never work for a cold boring place with a boss who is so stuck up and have no sense of humor.

Date: 6/21/2010 8:20:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63846    Psy, this is really unrelated, but you like Miley Cyrus? *dies laughing*
Date: 6/21/2010 8:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    no. I watched the video to that song, and good lord she is 90% likely going to be the next brittany spears, lindsay lohan....
I don't understand how she went from being good to bad....
To me it seems if your on the disney channel you got to shed of having a good girl image to being "r" rated.

Date: 6/21/2010 8:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    but really I am so hyper I need to be doing something exciting all the time and I hate repetiveness in jobs.

That's why I liked childcare, it's never the same and the kids are rowdy and I burn off my hyperness with them lol...

Date: 6/21/2010 10:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 30229    I could not do Elder Care... I have such a HUGE spot in my heart for older people that each and every one I had to deal with would break my heart!!!

If I were TO start a new career (even at my age), it would be in Forensics ... I have a passion about that type work....

This is a great post, and very interesting.... I sure wish that people would read it and answer it, ... There would be some interesting stuff on here... ya know???

Date: 6/22/2010 2:46:00 AM  From Authorid: 4995    I could'nt be a sanitation worker. I hear the pay is good but look at what you have to deal with. LOL! My choice would be the medical field like a CNA or something related to that. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be a medical assisstant. Im just not smart enough.
Date: 6/22/2010 6:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 14780    I could not do a job that has a lot of driving....or working outside in the heat. Other than that I think I could do most any job. Wait, I could not be a snake handler...LOL
Date: 6/22/2010 7:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 42703    starting to be against any job where I have to work with the public. People will blame u for stuff that had nothing to do with you, lie to try and get something for nothing, walk in mad & yell at you for something not related at all to your job,..don't get me wrong I like people but goodness, working with the public can be so not good!
Date: 6/22/2010 8:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 21903    surgeon!! I can't even stand watching people get shots on TV, so I certainly doubt I'd be able to cut into anyone without wanting to pass out! Its not so much the blood as the open wound!

Date: 6/22/2010 12:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    Prostitute, stripper, escort, etc. Garbage collector, plumber. I know there are a lot more I could list, but that's all I could think of at the moment. I think I would be okay with surgical/medical because I can look at it from a scientific point of view and not just as blood and gore.
Date: 6/22/2010 1:59:00 PM  ( Admin )   Septic system repair or pumping.. Oh man, those people have to work in the worst kind of ,,,, well you know..

Date: 6/22/2010 5:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 998    Strange, I thought of exactly what you put in your post Krista. I wouldn't be able to see all the pain and suffering that vets do. I know they help a lot of animals, but there is a lot that isn't pretty. I wouldn't make a good hunter either. I just couldn't skin and gut an animal, unless it were maybe the only thing to eat. But that is a big stretch, cuz I would be vegetarian before I could kill an animal.
Date: 6/22/2010 5:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 998    I didn't realize that Pianoman was a very funny guy !!! ... separating fly pucky from pepper, I'm guessing it's impossible. That begs the question ... how much fly do-do do we really eat, ... unawares .. ewwie
Date: 6/22/2010 7:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 38119    I could never have a job where public speaking was a job aspect. I would be a nervous wreck.
Date: 6/23/2010 2:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 3835    I could never work for a public sanitation department. You know.. porta potty cleaning, emptying septic tanks and all that Ewww... I really respect those can stomach that line of work.
Date: 6/23/2010 9:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 61013    There are some jobs I would definitely turn down, but I really can't think of any
Date: 6/23/2010 12:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 14314    Same as Zema, LOL I could never clean public toilets, LOL.
Date: 6/25/2010 12:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 63366    Rectal thermometer tester.....
Date: 6/30/2010 5:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 62798    I could never be a vet, mortician, forensics officer, or a cook.
Date: 6/30/2010 6:59:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63846    Going from mortician to cook. Tasty.
