Today my family and I decided to go into Denver to hang out at a Starbucks, but our plan ultimately failed. Upon arrival in Denver, we found it was even more crowded than normal, but didn't think much of it. As we ventured further into the city limits, we began noticing people dressed quite eccentrically and a LOT of same-sex couples. I thought it was kind of adorable, but I still didn't pay much attention to it. Farther in, we began noticing roads closing and finally I realized what was going on: Denver PrideFest 2010.
PrideFest is a huge festival where lots of same-sex couples and supporters gather and basically watch performances and enjoy themselves. Lots of people come dressed in very odd clothes (for example, we saw a girl in a bikini who had spraypainted rainbows all over herself and we saw a shirtless man with a rainbow lei). The only reason I knew it was PrideFest was because I have an openly gay friend who was very excited to go. It was open for anyone to attend, homosexual or not.
That was my unusual day. Tell me about yours.

((P.S. We never got our coffee. It was so very crowded that we had to go back into our lonely suburbs and visit the boring Starbucks there.> You can join Unsolved Mysteries and post your own mysteries or interesting stories for the world to read and respond to Click hereScroll all the way down to read replies.Show all stories by Author: 63846 ( Click here )
