Ringing in the ears is quite normal, but if it persists you should check with a doctor. The medical term for this is, Tinnitus, and a medical website link can explain it properly. http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/ringing-in-the-ears-tinnitus-topic-overview Death Bell folklore sprang up largely as an attempt to explain the condition, and still persists in some areas. Historically, church bells would ring whenever a person died, and during the Black Death in Europe, they rang continuously as the death toll mounted. Legends grew up around the sound, alleging that God or His angels rang ethereal/heavenly bells when a life ended. How much you choose to believe in this legend is your own business. |

Date: 4/27/2011 12:37:00 AM From Authorid: 37843 I've heard of the death bell, my supervisor told me about it a couple of years ago. We were at work and she said something about hearing bells and that everytime she heard it someone she knew passed away. Later that day or early the next we were at work and she was looking at the newspaper and saw that a classmate she graduated with had passed. His name was Jeff I think. |
