Wow.......... That's quite the 'mess up' on the doctors part. Did he give an explanation? Glad it's not cancer.. |
Date: 12/11/2009 2:35:00 PM From Authorid: 23963 Well I am glad that your father does not have cancer and that is great news, but what I don't understand is why would you tell everyone he has a fatal version of stomach cancer and is going to die, and then all of a sudden he now doesn't have fatal cancer? I am having a hard time believing this. |

Date: 12/11/2009 3:14:00 PM From Authorid: 23075 Actually, in all honesty, this will make me stay away from your posts and you. |
Date: 12/11/2009 3:18:00 PM From Authorid: 40145 since i almost died from surgery error last december, it is not funny to make up stories about someone dying. It is very serious. I hope you think about this and what this will affect USM. I agree with others. good luck. |

I wouldn't be so quick to respond negatively USM-ers. Doctors mess up all the time, and I can tell you from experience it HAPPENS. My fathers second wife got 100 times the proper dosage of her luekemia treatment, because they 'thought' she was at a different stage in her cancer Show compassion, since it may happen to you or someone you know someday. |

My husband was put in hospital for supposedly having cancer in the calf muscle of his left leg, told that it may be necessary to cut off his leg and depending how bad it was as to whether it would be below the knee or above it. He was in a terrible state with that result that he was told. After the surgery, turned out it wasn't cancer at all, so doctors make very bad mistakes, and as the saying can go...doctors bury their mistakes. So I can see how a wrong diagnosis came to be..I'm relieved and glad that your Dad doesn't have stomach cancer hun because I lost my Dad to it 15yrs ago...*hugs* |
Date: 12/11/2009 4:09:00 PM From Authorid: 54444 thanks for the good news. So what did the problem turn out to be? Is he going to be okay? |

Date: 12/11/2009 4:58:00 PM From Authorid: 22433 Well..if i'm wrong, I have no problem apologizing...but we've been through this before, and something tells me this isn't much different. I'm not getting my feelings yanked around...not right now..there's too much going on in my life for that. |
Date: 12/11/2009 5:12:00 PM From Authorid: 23075 I've been jerked here before as well. I tend to put up my wall, and then it takes forever or even sometimes NEVER for someone to get past it again. |
Date: 12/11/2009 5:48:00 PM From Authorid: 26303 What a relief. Don't be sorry, you had the worry along with your dad. Glad that the doctor mucked up. |
Date: 12/11/2009 5:51:00 PM From Authorid: 26303 I've had the call from the docs office, telling me that I had an urgent appointment at the cancer hospital. When I got my wits back, I rang my doc and it was an error. Wrong person got the call. For the doubters...If this was a cry for attention, don't you think it would've gone on for longer? |
Date: 12/11/2009 6:54:00 PM From Authorid: 64365 Oh, sweetie...don't be sorry! Glad to hear it's not cancer. HUGS |

I could be wrong but I don't get the feeling the first post was for attention, I hope not any way. Mistakes happen, so there is no way of knowing for sure, maybe we ought to let it go or not beat her up until someone has talked to her. |

well thats good news, hope whatever is wrong the doc will find out so your dad feels well soon. |
Date: 12/11/2009 9:35:00 PM ( Admin-Z ) Who are we to say whether she is right or wrong? we can only take what the poster says and take it in good faith and besides all of that, she didn't have to tell us about the error anyway..so instead of implying that she is seeking attention, try giving the girl the benefit of the doubt.. |
