I started when I was about 12-14ish and also had multiple accounts, before you needed to write a letter or send $5, before there was a chat. I was looking up Ghost stories/hauntings and things like that. When I first signed up, I don't think there was an hourly post limit (I think now theres a 2 post limit, or at least there was for awhile) and this site was so popular, I remember the front page would have all new stories 2-3 times a day. I miss that, but I like the way it is now too, because if you aren't on a few days, you still don't miss anything due to less posting.  |

After reading the replies (stormchasers'), I am thinking that I may have been looking up Ouija board stories and 'rules' and things like that. I remember around that age I was REALLY into that too. It was one of the two, definately. now its gonna bother me until I remember which it was. lol |

...I wandered through USM in my search for the TV show as so many others here have admitted to. It was a great place with a lot of great characters. When I first joined, I instantly lost ten years off my life. I didn't exactly put the correct birthdate for myself in my profile. I guess I was self-concious about my age and didn't want to scare anyone off with it. I had other plans in mind. I've appeared and disappeared at times but there is only one USM and I like it here.  |

It's been 8 years for me; I found it when I was 16. My now boyfriend (L.A. Galaxy UNITED 64118), then best friend found this site. We came here to chat online after our previous chat site (Sailor Moon Universe) got shut down. The account he has now is not his original one, so I dunno how long he was a member before he got me on here. I think he found it looking for either the Unsolved mysteries tv show or looking for ghost stories online. This post has been asked many times, but I always enjoy sharing. I mean, we get new members, so this is cool.  |

Was new to online and got into Yahoo chat. Started talking about ghost stories and urban legends when a person told me about this site. Figured, "Why not?" and checked it out. People were so friendly that I decided to stay. I know over the past 3 years though I haven't been on much, but I still love the site.  |
