Date: 10/17/2009 8:35:00 AM From Authorid: 11097 I used to have the same problem so I made little mental notes in my head and always remembered my heart was on my left side... so whatever was on the side of my heart was left and the other right hope that makes sense lol |
Date: 10/17/2009 8:44:00 AM From Authorid: 15228 I think this is fairly common. In basic training I had to quickly learn my right from my left (the drill seargent would always say, "no, your other left" when I got it wrong). I always visualized the hand I write with knowing it's my right so I would know which foot to start off marching with which is the left. |

Date: 10/17/2009 11:10:00 AM From Authorid: 57079 I have the SAME exact problem! I end up lost sometimes if I don't notice, thats why I got a GPS! It mostly happens when I'm driving because I have to make spit second decisions, usually when I'm with people outside of the car, I have enough time to either remember or correct myself before it becomes confusing. My parents and boyfriend tease me so much about it! I just try to take an extra second or two to think about exactly what I mean and make sure I say what I mean. I use to just say "that way!" and point, but that seems to annoy people sometimes! |

If it tastes good then it's right. After you are full and you still see some food, that's what's left. -Rad.. J/K |
Date: 10/17/2009 5:48:00 PM From Authorid: 64365 yeah...I always have trouble with my other left...and my other right. It might have something to do with looking in a mirror...you suddenly adjust tp tje fact that your left side is your left and your right is your right in your mirror image...but when talking to a person your left is to their right and your right is to their left. It is confusing. The only thing I can do for myself other than correcting the error, like turning left wjen I meant to go right, is stop and think a moment to get my left right orientation right. |

Date: 10/17/2009 6:14:00 PM From Authorid: 15228 You could be like my mother-n-law and give directions using north, south, east and west which is even more confusing than left and right! When I first tried to help her in the kitchen she would tell me to get the pans out of the "north cabinet", or get the hot pads out of the 'south drawer'...I finally told her I forgot to bring my compass. |
Date: 10/21/2009 3:51:00 AM From Authorid: 3277 it took me forever to figure it out, just recently became able to know left from right in my head, but if im receiving directions in a car or having to give directions i have to think harder than most normal people do, it drives my husband nuts, I use my wedding ring since its always on my left i always know which way to go. If you arent married or dont want to get married or hate rings in general invest in a cheap watch and wear it on the same wrist all the time, youll eventually get to where you dont even think about having to use it. |

I had troubles for a VERY long time! lol When I was a child I had a wart on my finger and I remembered that my wart was on my right hand...but then when it went away YEARS later, I spaced out a little. I even catch myself sometimes looking down at my hand when I'm thinking about "left or right".... Tip for you? If you make a "L" using your index finger and your thumb, only your LEFT hand will actually be the "L"...if you make this "L" with your right hand, it will be backwards...... Did I explain it right? |
