At least a couple grand, depending on how you finished it. DIY, maybe 1/2 that if you found good prices on the wood. |

Spiral staircases look great and save space but it's tough getting furniture up and down them. Is there room to lengthen it out and change the pitch? |

the house cost 12,000 dollars back in 1993... There are only two rooms upstairs both ( actally you have to walk through one to get to the other; and actally it is not really a room but more like a den) two big windows in both rooms. about 3 feet high.. The previous owner took the windows out to put funiture in. HA> I thought of that also but they want a sprail staircase. (they my mom and brother) |

Lowe's has them from 2,000 to 4,000. Go to www.lowes.com and type winding stair case in the search on that page. |

I would suggest that you go to lowes, home depot etc and get a quote of materials and such. |

And a spiral is easier than the regular kind. You can get them already made. |
