Forest Adventure

I've had this dream a few times with it progressing further each time. I am in a forest and it's a dense forest with very little light getting through the trees. I'm not sure where I am going or what I am doing but I am traveling with a purpose. I notice that the clothes I am wearing are really from a long time ago possibly Oriental. I am carrying a sword on my back although I never take it out to use. I was looking at a mushroom on the ground when a faint sound comes to my ears: a woman's voice singing. It's a beautiful voice and I follow the sound to see where it is coming from. I can't recognize the lyrics or even what language it is but her voice is captivating. I follow the sound to a stone temple that looked very much Japanese. I see only one way to go in as it is very dark but the singing is definitely coming from inside. Once inside the temple, I find it is illuminated by a faint light from all around and I can't figure out where the light is coming from. After wandering around, I find the room where the woman is sitting, she's facing away from me and her singing is a bit more clear now but its not singing now more like humming. I step directly behind her and I can see that she's dressed elaborately in possibly Japanese or Chinese royal garb. She stops humming and presents me with a piece of paper that has a few characters on it. I couldn't see her face as she had long black hair that shrouded her face from the angle. I recognize one of the characters but the other two are not clear. Just as I am focusing my eyes on the paper, I wake up...

It didn't but I remembered this dream after posting before about the elusive girl in my dreams and thought I had posted it before but hadn't, so here it is...
