The following short films were by a late regional director, Yasmin Ahmad. Most of her films placed emphasis on values that people tend to forget and serve as a reminder to us on what is important.
It showed how 3 old parents were proud of their children's success. However, these children did not have time for their parents. "They were very busy" each said. There was the last woman, who did not talk much about her son as he was not as successful, but in return for success, he has time for his mother. They chinese dialect they're speaking in is Hokkien.
In addition to that film, she made this as well.
"Funeral" is a new TV commerical launched by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) which looks at relationships in a different light, through a woman at her husband's funeral. Ultimately, the TVC celebrates the beautiful imperfections that make a relationship perfect. This is fresh off MCYS latest Viewers' Choice 2008 win for last year's Family TVC which promotes the importance and value of family bonding.

From Authorid: 22852@}~~ I have dial-up so I can't watch the videos. I think most children go through a phase where they don't have time for their parents, I call it growning up and finding themselves but they always seem to find their way back

From Authorid: 43991I was successful when I was younger.. pageant queen, star swimmer.. all that stuff. But now I can't do a thing cause I'm so sick. But being really ill has made me closer to my family, especially my mamma. I never imagined I would be this close with them. I think that is the bright side of all of this. Family is really important. If I didn't have them, I wouldn't have ANYTHING.

From Authorid: 61966Three great videos, all with a wonderful message. Our families are the most important people in our lives...and there are many who take advantage of them and don't treat them well. No matter what imperfections they have, we should love them just the same because they're all we have. Wonderful post. Thank you for sharing!
