Date: 5/27/2009 11:07:00 AM From Authorid: 55297 My cousins, 3 of them actually, were in the airforce, one, honorably discharged, the second still serving, his 20 years is coming up now, and the third, she didnt re-enlist but now is a civilian working top secret computer stuff for the military... All three enjoyed it. My husband is in the Army Reserves/ National Guard (I can never remember which)... Hes stationed in MI, has been to Ft. Hood, TX training before Iraq, then he was at Camp Virginia in Kuwait for 12 months. He did convoy security and narrowly missed being blown up by an IED. SHots fired both ways... Very scary time for me, especially now that hes home nad revealing some things that happened. But he loves the Army and I love being his wife. I could do without the Army part though, lol, but he loves it and I love him so I handle it. Also, once a month for 3 days he goes to his home station for drill weekends. 2 weeks Annual Training in the summer... Thats about all I can tell you, hope it helps somewhat. Oh, one more thing, lol, he specializes in Mortars, excellency in markmanship at 700+ yards, and hes a CPL. Enough of my bragging on and on... He recieved 12 ribbons/medals/awards after coming home from Kuwait/Iraq... Longest 12 months of my life. Really enough now... |

My husband is in the National Guard. Joined in Decemeber, and goes to Basic in August in Missouri. He'll have his Basic and AIT at the same place, and all together, which is good. Right now, and since he's joined, he's been involved in the RSP drills that they have once a month. I'm so proud of him, but so nervous too. xD hehe... Thank you for your Service, JF. *huge 's* |
