Most people look at rain as dreary, glum, and generally unhappy. But I love watching and listening to the rain. It has been raining for 3 days straight here, and we still have 2 more days of rain to go, so says the weatherman.
It's a time of replenishment. The rain just washes away all the dirt and grime of life and refreshes everything. It's a time of renewal. A time to let go of worries and stresses and just enjoy the rain. Go dance in it, go play in it, just go enjoy it.
I'm excited about the changes in my life. Sure, I'm scared of failure, who isn't? But I'm determined to have a good life and to provide one for my children. I want them to understand that nothing in life is free, that you have to work hard to get what you want. I want them to understand that a trip to McDonald's is a privilege and luxury, not a right.
I see our lives headed into good places, and that makes me happy. Sure I still stress about the bills and food on the table, especially with the economy the way it is, but I know somehow God has a plan for us. A plan for a brighter future.
So let it rain, let it rain...bring on the springtime and let everything be renewed...
