Im a 21 year old male. I need some medical advice. I dont know if anyone here can help or not but i can sure give it a shot... I have been dealing with a pain in what seems like my muscles since i can remember. It is mostly the round palm part of my thumb. I remember times as a kid, where this part would ache, like throb and ache. The vain will protrude out so far, to the point that i can feel the blood pumping through, and it made it ache more, and then my elbow joint will start to throb and ache.. Its doing it again, and its been doing this randomly off and on since i was a kid. What do you think it could be? Any suggestions? Am i too young for Fibromyalgia? My mom has that. Am i too young for arthritis? and if so, why when i was a little boy did it happen? I dont know what to think of this... yesterday it was my right arm, now today its my left arm. Any help will be much appreciated.

Date: 1/23/2009 4:06:00 AM  From Authorid: 51876    I am sorry, but there is a lot of nurses here but not doctors. That is a complicated diagnosis.

It could be arthritis, but also could be something more serious. If it totally dehabilitates you need to seek profesional help. Wish you well and good health.

Date: 1/23/2009 8:23:00 AM  ( Admin )   It might be blood pressure related. The vein might be pressing against a nerve.

Try this if you can, drink a beer, that will lower your blood pressure for a little while.

See if that causes the pain to go away or reduce.

One beer shouldn't affect the pain much if it isn't blood pressure related.

Also, asprin (Not with the beer), thins the blood and might help with the pain.

-Rad.. Let me know how it goes.
