I saw that too and thought it was sooo cool! Unfortunately I've also forgotten what the device was called. I may have to do a search for that. And the other thing you mentioned that TAPS uses that lights up in response to questions is called a K2 Meter or something I believe. I may be wrong but I've wanted one ever since I saw it! I'm not sure what the first device you are talking about is, I hadn't seen that episode or many of their earlier ones. But that other device, the EMF meter thing, is the K2 (or sometimes KII), which is used by electricians to test for the presence of magnetic fields generated electrically. I'm pretty skeptical about the K2's usefulness in ghost hunting, as it's very sensitive to radio signals as well, so cell phones and walkie-talkies will make it go off as well. Sometimes I wonder if someone in the Camera/Sound crews of the show could be duping them by pushing on a walkie talkie button during their "communication" sessions to produce false results... it'd be easy enough to do and difficult to prove.  |
