ghost hunting episode on TV

There was one of those ghost hunting programs on TV. I do not recall which one it was. They were checking out a house in a Southern California Canyon very close to where the Manson Murders took place. The paranormal investigators used a device that could be manipulated by the ghost so that when they asked questions, the ghost's answers would be displayed in words on this device. Does anyone know which program I am talking about or anything about the device and how it works??? I know on the TAPS television ghost hunting show they have the EMF detectors set so an intelligent haunting can make the lights on the EMF detector blink to answer yes and no questions. I would really like to know what that other device was that was being used. ~Thanks

But; I do remember the show as the rerun aired not that long ago!

And the other thing you mentioned that TAPS uses that lights up in response to questions is called a K2 Meter or something I believe. I may be wrong but I've wanted one ever since I saw it! LOL Now you have me wondering. I'll ask my Hubby cuz he saw it too but I doubt he'll remember. Take good care and God Bless! Love and Hugs,

But that other device, the EMF meter thing, is the K2 (or sometimes KII), which is used by electricians to test for the presence of magnetic fields generated electrically. I'm pretty skeptical about the K2's usefulness in ghost hunting, as it's very sensitive to radio signals as well, so cell phones and walkie-talkies will make it go off as well. Sometimes I wonder if someone in the Camera/Sound crews of the show could be duping them by pushing on a walkie talkie button during their "communication" sessions to produce false results... it'd be easy enough to do and difficult to prove.
