Yes, there are crazy people here in the states that do the pageant thing, but the article talks about it like we all think it's dandy! I'd say the majority of us, with the possible exception of the actual participants and pedophiles, think little girl beauty pageants are stupid if not sick. There was nothing attractive or beautiful, nor even slightly cute about that little girl or little girls like her.  |

sigh...all I can say is poor kid. All of this is not for her, it's for the mom...so mom can play 'life-like Barbie'. It's one thing for kids to be in family movies, or appear in commercials, but to deliberately exploit their beauty and sexuality, isn't that like abuse????  |

This is disgusting. I'm 18 and I don't even wear that much makeup or that revealing of clothes. The mother needs to get some clothes on her daughter, scrub off the layers of makeup, get her in school and motivate her to succeed with that. Looks fade, and it is sad that the mother is putting such a emphasis on looks. I'm sorry, but an 11 year old shouldn't be put in those situations where it has sexual undertones. *sighs* This is sad, and in some ways I feel sorry for this girl. Hopefully she rebels, and realizes that her statement about being dumb isn't good. Anyways, I'll shut up now because I can go on and on about this exploitation of a child.  |

I read stuff like, see the things on tv and all i can wonder is what has this world come to. Recent generations have made it ok to prop up the despicable parts of society. We have people now adays that are famous for what? helping people, being truely talent.... NO .. for being stupid drunks and flashing parts of themselves that really shouldnt be.
