An older couple was traveling on an old back road in Maine. They came to a fork in the road. The couple were confused seeing that there were three different ways to go. They see a small store and the woman tells her husband to go in and ask for directions. The man gets out of the car and goes into the store. He tells the clerk that he is confused, with so many directions to travel in, he doesn’t know which road to take. He explains that he is meeting a long lost cousin in a town called Lincoln. And doesn’t know which road to take to get there. The driver points to the first road and asks where will that road take me? The clerk says “Mattawamkeag.” The driver looked puzzled. He pointed to the second road and asked where will that road lead me? The clerk said “Madawaska.” The driver thought to himself, “What in the heck is that?!” He was getting frustrated. He pointed to the third road in desperation to figure out where he needed to go, he asked where will that road take me sir!? The clerk said “Millinocket.” The driver was so fed up he stormed out of the store! He got into the car, and his wife asked him, “What did you find out?” The man said “NOTHING!!!
