I'm sure there are plenty of birch trees in New York state. There are also many many birch throughout New England - as for ordering it, I've never heard of it. I've heard of birch bark tea- but nothing from the sap. |

Have you also tried any speciality stores? Like German delis or something. When I went to europe, I had Kinder Eggs (chocolate shaped like an egg with a toy inside) and you can't find them in the states unless you go to a german deli or something like that. |

Thank you for your replies. I haven't tried a German store yet. I don't think we have one, but I'll look into it. My friend and I remembered a small Russian store in his city and we will check it out in the week sometime. |
