gray skies hide the sun
gloom looms over head
the birds are silent perhaps
im going deaf ...
the winds blow as if they are enraged
things sail through the air
the trees bend to and fro
i bow my head in prayer ...
off in the distance thunder rolls so loud
lightening flashes angrily
againt the sky which is blackened now
Dear father in heaven i say soft and low
have mercy on our lifes ,
protect each and every soul
as the storm rages on as the wind blows
the winds snap trees completely into
i run for shelter as the storm brews
the rain beats down, like its decared a war
the winds howl like a hungry wolf at the door
i pray harder ,fearing mother nature wrath outside
im safe i tell myself ,For he is here by my side
the storm ends and i crawl from my hole in the ground
everything is destoryed ,for miles around ,
greatful faces greet one another ,and search for
their friends ,count them one by one each and all
each one safe ,each one wearing a greatful smile
thank you Dear Father for safely sheltering us
from the storm today ,home was destoryed
but our families are all safe ...
Thank you Father,
the sunshine returned with clear skies so blue
the birds sung a sweet song brand new....
FATHER thank you...
