Do you know someone who values their friends more than their family? ( Donuts)

I am soooo sick of my little brother putting his friends before his family. I have two older sisters and one younger brother. My sister K.k. my brother and I grew up close because we grew up in a single family home raised by our mother who tried as hard for us as she could. My other sister is 8 years older than I am and left home a long time ago)

Some how my brother has decided that his friends come first... even on holidays. One year on thanksgiving he pitched a fit because my mom made him eat with us and not with his friend like he wanted.

Now my brother is in the National Guards and is leaving for Iraq next month (october). This saturday is my daughters first birthday party. ( it is also a surprise anniversary party for my husband and I. We didn't have a big wedding just a justice of the peace thing but it was very nice. How I found out well thats my secret hehe. )

Any way as you can tell this party means a lot to me. My Dad and my stepmom are coming up for it also. They live in the twin citys.

So I just got off the phone with my brother aprently the party is too late for him.. It's at 4p.m. He said he doesnt know if he will go because the homecoming football game is at 2 p.m.

Here's the thing he may live in that college town (its only an hour away) but he does not go to that college any more ( dropped out). Now he doesn't work. we don't really know what he does besides play video games all day. He's going to iraq in october and he can't even make an effort to see his father, and go to his nieces party before he lives for a death place. geeez I am sick of it. Just to watch football and probably get drink that night... oh, well. When he gets shot maybe he will realize what is important, and he will see We will always be there for him but his friends well they will get married, have kids and be tooo busy for him.

Donuts...I am sorry that, your brother has put his friends first, I don't know anyone who hasn't done that at least once in their lives ( including me )

You see Donunt...I can't speak for your brother, but I can say that by experience I had taken my family for granted too, I thought that my friends had came first, ect ect, but one day he will come to his senses and relize, that even though friends are important, when the tough gets going, it's your family that are there, for you when you need them...I know that you are angry with him...but let him know that, and wish him all the best in Iraq... as you don't want to have any regrets yourself either...Blessing to you and your loved ones..
