... *wipes the beginning of a tear* .. I have a sad tune coming from my CD player as I read this poem. Seriously, both combined made me tear up. I have been doing this job since 1995, and I can tell you that it is never easy to push that delete button. I hope you know how much the other volunteers do truly hum-n-haw and debate two or three times before crumbling the post and tossing it aside. Sure, some writtings are a no brain-er .. and we know that 'they' knew it shouldn't have been posted. But it is the thoughts that ride the edge of the 'G' rating that throw us into turmoil. Thank you for understanding our dilemma. Great poem by the way ... I have bookmarked it for my future reading pleasure   |

Sometimes I run the post past an admin before posting if I am uncertain. That has been very helpful. Sometimes it is hard to know how far to push the envelope.  |

Wicked Plantz, I loathe deleting any posts, I try to take into consideration the time and effort a member has taken in creating a post in the first place, and generally speaking, most have followed the guidelines. In the case of a new member who is not familiar with our rules and regulations we are only trying to help them for future posts. You've written a good poem here for us all to read and I appreciate what you are saying in it...When not sure refer to the FAQ page that explains the rules for posting....  |

This was a very good poem, Wicked. And it's very true. Many people don't realize how hard it is to delete posts or comments sometimes. I try to avoid deleting a whole post if possible, and update them, sometimes add to them or take out any material that isn't allowed on USM, so that the post can stay up. Thank you for sharing your talent in a subject that makes others think. That's an awesome Talent indeed. *hugs*  |

wow, again, and again. i'm glad this post has made alot of people think. when i first started here i didn't know how to use this site, but the admins were very kind and took the time to walk me through everything. and to be honest i didn't think anyone would even read this. you all have been very nice in accptence and new found friends.
