jerry had just moved into a new apartment building. he was so happy, it was his first time away from home.
he lived in unit 29.
jerry worked late hours and although he was never givin a key to the laundry room, it was always unlocked. until that frightful night.
one night jerry was doing his clothes, when he went to put them in the dryer he noticed a large colorfull quilt. he liked it, it was still warm to the touch.
he put it on a nearby table, and went about his washload. jerry put his clothes in the dryer and then went back to his apartment to watch tv.
later when jerry returned he saw all of his clothes sopping wet on the table. he looked in the dryer and there was the quilt, still warm as before.
jerry was mad at this so he put his clothes back in to dry. a half an hour had passed. no one had come for the quilt. still he waited. soon his clothes were done and he took them home along with the quilt, jerry was being a bit of a jerk, but he would return it in the morning. the next day jerry tryed it on his bed. it was so nice that he decided to keep it.
when he stepped back into the washroom a few nights later there was a posting on the corkboard. it read if anyone has seen a blue quilt? i would really like it back, it has been missing from the washroom since last monday. please put it back and there will be no questions asked.
jerry smiled a silly grin and started his clothes. he went back to his apartment once more.
soon jerry was back to put his clothes in the dryer. as he walked in he looked at the corkboard. this time it read "i want it back, or you'll be sorry" the dryer bell did its' ding and jerry opened it. inside was the quilt! it was so hot that it burned his hand. next the dryer door slammed his wrist so hard it broke it off! a bloody twisted mess stained the floor. jerry looked back at the corkboard, this time it read "I told you you'd be sorry" the hull of the dryer violently shook as it pulled him in.
