Who will Win? Super Wal-mart or Greatland Target?

I was just thinking....

In the town I live we have been growing....

So the story is everything east of town is expending ever since wal-mart put a Super Wal-mart in.... some mini mall things, then applebees moved in, the newest one was culvers. (the farmers who own land there have made millions!)

I guess timberlodge steak house is coming in soon.

So the newest rumor for the past year is that target will be moving right across the high way from Super wal-mart.... so I just wonder (Lets just assume it's true, which hasn't been verified yet)

Who's going to win.... whose going to loose ( probably the mall, its already dying, more small businesses also those are the given losers.)

Date: 5/2/2007 8:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 39957    Where I live the only thing we have is a super Walmart which I don't life and my family doesn't either. As for the big Target, we aren't getting one of those. But if there had to be a Big Target competing with Walmart I would say Walmart would win. That's my opinion.
Date: 5/2/2007 8:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 8905    Wal-mart. Prices are lower. -shrugs- I dont like either but for clothes I shop at target, better quality then wally world. BUt people see in terms of dollars signs, so wal-mart would win
Date: 5/2/2007 8:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 25183    My vote would be for Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is less expensive. I love Target, but the Targets here sell limited groceries and they are higher than Wal-Mart.
Date: 5/2/2007 9:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 18527    We have a Target and a Walmart across the street from each other and Walmart is ALWAYS packed and Target is always empty. I tend to go to Target when I am in a hurry. But, they are more expensive.
Date: 5/2/2007 10:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 2030    Everyone will lose, except WalMart
Date: 5/2/2007 10:59:00 AM  From Authorid: 52155    Wal-Mart causes global warming
Date: 5/2/2007 11:01:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 43807    I like target. I like there nice carpet in the clothes section, there nice quality not going to fall apart maternity clothes.. and other clothes. I just like the atmosphere there.
Date: 5/2/2007 11:02:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 43807    sorry that should be THeir not there.
Date: 5/2/2007 11:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 27534    Hmmmmmmmm the battle of the shopping mart.....cool.......
Date: 5/2/2007 11:25:00 AM  From Authorid: 61847    I personally believe that Wal-Mart will win. Just because usually their prices are lower. Sometimes they are not, but most people do not see things in terms of quality instead of cost.

At my house, we only have Walmart available, but there is a Super Target about twenty five minutes away, and we only have one. So for our area, Wal-Mart wins, hands down.

Date: 5/2/2007 11:39:00 AM  From Authorid: 39258    I HATE WALMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Date: 5/2/2007 11:39:00 AM  From Authorid: 8243    All we have is a Walmart, but I wish to goodness a Target would come in soon.
Date: 5/2/2007 12:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 14464    Walmart will win until people get mad at the idiotic employee's and just the fact that it's walmart! Then they will start going to Target if it's still open and be much happier
Date: 5/2/2007 12:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 14464    Also I think it depends on the type of people you have in your town. We have nothing but families on walfare in my town so of course walmart is over run.
Date: 5/2/2007 1:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 42703    Wal Mart will win out..people think there princes are lower,on somthings they are,but for the most part it's not any cheaper then any other place. I had to do research for a college project-some information I came across said that out of 20 products Wal Mart was only cheaper on 2 items.
Date: 5/2/2007 1:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 14464    Jimmy it also depends on the area you live in. the news did a story on thsi awhile back. the poor areas have really high prices while you go to the area's with people loaded with money and they have very cheap prices.
Date: 5/2/2007 3:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 64427    walmart always wins they suck i wish we had something better then walmart that can beat it down to the ground
Date: 5/2/2007 3:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 29532    Walmart will win.
Date: 5/3/2007 7:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 39887    Well I would say Target, because they have a better quality of merchandise. The biggest reason is that I have never been in a Target that ALL their registers were not open and the clerks were polite and very attentive. When I go in Wal-Mart,there's hardly two registers open and the clerks talk, talk and don't pay attention to anything!
Date: 5/3/2007 7:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 39887    P.S. The last time I went, the lady at the register had to give me her favorite recipe for fudge made with buttermilk,I said, I don't eat fudge, she just kept telling me, I wasn't writing it down and she just kept giving it to me. Her nails looked like she had dug in dirt before she came to work. I think Target would have better clerks.
