I snuggled in the patch work quilt and conjured up wishes for Christmas. I eventually fell asleep to the cadence of the long hand on the grandfather clock. Before I knew it, I awoke to muttering voices and silverware hitting the kitchen table. The aroma of fresh coffee delighted me, but I knew I would not have any at my setting. I hurry down the stairs and slide in between my sisters who were already sitting in front of the tree. Mom and Dad say "OK", so me and my three sisters comence to reach for our brown paper bag that held one orange, an apple, and a few clumps of rock candy. I spied my gift, tearing the red bow aside, I open the package to find my wish. A western gun and holster. I noticed my sisters all received look alike dolls. They seemed happy. I strapped on the gun and stuck out my chest. Today, I was going to be the Lone Ranger. There was one thing missing so I asked my Mom if I could borrow the black cloth that she had stored in her sewing notions. She said yes so I retrieved the cloth and cut two eyes out for the mask. Now I can be the Lone Ranger forever.
