The amoxacillin will do the trick. Just be patient. I know the poor baby is in pain. Did you ask the doctore if there was anything you could give her for that? I know that my daughter in law got some medication to take care of my little granddaughter's problem with not being able to belch, and it would help her a lot. Perhaps the doctor or nurse can suggest something. |

well since she is taking amoxicillian you should probably lay off other meds. It will take a little while but her medacine should kick in and she'll feel better. You should talk to her doctor though about giving her any teething gel or pills because I know mixing things can be dangerous. |

It's been a few hours, so I'm sure she's calmed down. Let us know. For future meltdowns, do you have a sling, or other type of snugglie? That helped my baby alot. Or you can try the 5 S's from the baby whisperer. Swaddle, suck (pacifier, nurse, etc), swing or sway, side (as in put baby in a side lying position) and say shhhh gently in her ear. These are meant to be done together, although you may achieve peace before getting to step 5. |

I'm glad to hear she's feeling better. There's nothing worse than having your baby cry and not being able to fix what's wrong. |

They also have a numbing liquid ear medicine they can give the baby. If you go to your pharmacist, s/he may let you purchase some without the prescription. |

They have liquid Tylenol. Anything for her age that is a pain and fever reducer. Also, get warm rags and massage and excercise her legs (or leg, whichever has the shot), this will also help. |

Donouts I would not give her tylenol until you talk to her doctor. Not only is she too young she is taking antibiotics and you need to make sure the medacines can be mixed with each other. I read a story not too long ago on my local news site saying how many parents estimate the dosage to give to their infant and they end up overdosing on the medication. |

try keeping a clean wash cloth in the freezer and when she cries see if she would like to "play" with it. |

tylenol (there are dosing instructions on the box or you can ask your pharmacist based on her weight. You can also get drops for the ear that will numb it temporarily, not sure if they're ok to use with enfants tho. Ear infections come on fast and fierce but the pain usually subsides quickly once you start antibiotics. Poor lil one |

jslin, it doesn't for babies under 6 months, you have to talk to your doctor. You aren't supossed to give a baby under 6 months anything without talking to a doctor first. |

Actually, I don't think any of the baby medicines have dosing instructions for babies under 2 years old anymore. I was really surprised to find this out with my last baby. It's probably to keep people from giving meds without consulting a doc, but I think it's a bad idea, because many people will just guess. |

Dosing in enfants is typically done by weight, because weight can vary and there's very fine lines depending on that, consult a doctor or pharmacist who can look it up for you. |
