Date: 12/8/2006 2:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 64365    The amoxacillin will do the trick. Just be patient. I know the poor baby is in pain. Did you ask the doctore if there was anything you could give her for that? I know that my daughter in law got some medication to take care of my little granddaughter's problem with not being able to belch, and it would help her a lot. Perhaps the doctor or nurse can suggest something.
Date: 12/8/2006 2:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 11341    Tylenol and teething gel. Hope she feels better soon!
Date: 12/8/2006 3:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 16061    Dont give her any more paracetomal based products the amoxicillian will calm her down. Just give her lots of hugs.
Date: 12/8/2006 3:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 14464    well since she is taking amoxicillian you should probably lay off other meds. It will take a little while but her medacine should kick in and she'll feel better. You should talk to her doctor though about giving her any teething gel or pills because I know mixing things can be dangerous.

Date: 12/8/2006 3:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 63449    Hyland brand teething tablets are the bomb..So is infants tylenol. At least with us they were life savers!
Date: 12/8/2006 3:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 3688    tylenol and hyland's teething tablets, do not give her motrin til she's at least 6 months old.
Date: 12/8/2006 3:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 11341    Hun, call your doctor. You are getting too much conflicting advice. Always best to call your doctor
Date: 12/8/2006 4:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 63725    Found this interesting link: http://www.drgreene.com/21_27.html
Date: 12/8/2006 4:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    I'm with DMK, you need to call her Dr. and find out. I know ours has always said as DreamerPoet pointed out no Motrin until they're six months old.
Date: 12/8/2006 4:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 64110    You tried tylenol. Also try to use some kind of lotion with lavender or chamomile or both.
Date: 12/8/2006 4:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 63165    Teething tablets, little tablets melt in their mouths and eases the pain and lasts for an hour or more gels work for a few minutes. and sleep in mommy or daddy's arms. Father of seven.
Date: 12/8/2006 4:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 17516    It's been a few hours, so I'm sure she's calmed down. Let us know. For future meltdowns, do you have a sling, or other type of snugglie? That helped my baby alot. Or you can try the 5 S's from the baby whisperer. Swaddle, suck (pacifier, nurse, etc), swing or sway, side (as in put baby in a side lying position) and say shhhh gently in her ear. These are meant to be done together, although you may achieve peace before getting to step 5.
Date: 12/8/2006 4:53:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 43807    she is sleeping now. My mom went to get some oral gel and baby tylenol. We used the oral gel but not the tylenol. my poor baby.
Date: 12/8/2006 4:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 17516    I'm glad to hear she's feeling better. There's nothing worse than having your baby cry and not being able to fix what's wrong.
Date: 12/8/2006 5:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 58308    They also have a numbing liquid ear medicine they can give the baby. If you go to your pharmacist, s/he may let you purchase some without the prescription.
Date: 12/8/2006 5:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 58308    They have liquid Tylenol. Anything for her age that is a pain and fever reducer. Also, get warm rags and massage and excercise her legs (or leg, whichever has the shot), this will also help.
Date: 12/8/2006 6:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 14464    Donouts I would not give her tylenol until you talk to her doctor. Not only is she too young she is taking antibiotics and you need to make sure the medacines can be mixed with each other. I read a story not too long ago on my local news site saying how many parents estimate the dosage to give to their infant and they end up overdosing on the medication.
Date: 12/8/2006 6:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 62927    try keeping a clean wash cloth in the freezer and when she cries see if she would like to "play" with it.
Date: 12/8/2006 7:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 52155    Buy her a car.
Date: 12/8/2006 8:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 40145    oh eddo stop that lol... im glad shes a bit better.
Date: 12/8/2006 8:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 4144    vegetable oil in a medicine dropper. put it in the dropper. run it under warm water til the oil heats just a little. drop 1-2 drops in the infected ear, stick some cotton in and she's sleeping like a baby!
Date: 12/8/2006 9:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 64110    yeah infant's tylenol comes with dosing instructions Ghost Lover. When you don't follow those it can be bad.
Date: 12/8/2006 9:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 64123    tylenol (there are dosing instructions on the box or you can ask your pharmacist based on her weight. You can also get drops for the ear that will numb it temporarily, not sure if they're ok to use with enfants tho. Ear infections come on fast and fierce but the pain usually subsides quickly once you start antibiotics. Poor lil one
Date: 12/9/2006 2:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 64263    lay her on a (not too hot) hot waterbottle covered by a towel,on which ever side the ear infection is.works wonders.Leabug
Date: 12/9/2006 5:21:00 AM  From Authorid: 53961    Oral gel and baby Tylenol and lots of patience! Poor baby!
Date: 12/9/2006 9:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 14464    jslin, it doesn't for babies under 6 months, you have to talk to your doctor. You aren't supossed to give a baby under 6 months anything without talking to a doctor first.
Date: 12/9/2006 9:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 17516    Actually, I don't think any of the baby medicines have dosing instructions for babies under 2 years old anymore. I was really surprised to find this out with my last baby. It's probably to keep people from giving meds without consulting a doc, but I think it's a bad idea, because many people will just guess.
Date: 12/9/2006 10:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 64123    Dosing in enfants is typically done by weight, because weight can vary and there's very fine lines depending on that, consult a doctor or pharmacist who can look it up for you.
Date: 12/9/2006 9:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 11341    How is she feeling?
