Advice about a guy... .::Miss*Jeni::.

Hello group:

There's this guy with whom I used to work with. I have a huge crush on him and I think he kinda liked me too.

My best friend gave me his hi5 (online community) link and I sent him a message a few months ago...I never heard back. :( He also has a Myspace, which he hasn't logged onto in awhile...I get the impression that he's been away from his computer...OR perhaps my email notification from the hi5 system got filed into the spam filter...Yahoo tends to be pretty bad about that...

My question is this: Should I try emailing him through his Yahoo account (I found it while browsing through their member directory)...I would basically say that I found his profile and would like to get back in touch with him. Or would this come across as too "stalker-esque"? I think it would be OK, considering he has a public profile with them...but then again I could be wrong...

Thank you for your input!

Date: 9/6/2006 9:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 36901    When you worked with him, did you talk? Were you actually friends? If so, I see nothing wrong with e-mailing him. If you didn't know him well, I wouldn't.
Date: 9/6/2006 9:29:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 33256    Thank you for your replies...we talked at work...I always had the impression he liked me. In fact, he liked my best friend (but my friend was not attracted to him). I think he would know who I am.
Date: 9/6/2006 10:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 10391    Go for it. Just tell him, hey I ran across your profile on line, ask how he's doing, mentin how its been a while since you talk and ask what is new. Talk in a casual friendly way in the email. I see nothing wrong with this unless you plan to send him more than one email
Date: 9/6/2006 10:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 63289    I think that is to stalkerish for me. You did try to connect once and nothing happened. Finding his e-mail address and contacting him without his permission isnt a good idea. Easyrider

Date: 9/7/2006 9:00:00 AM  From Authorid: 63366    At worst he’ll put a restraining order on you, JUST KIDDING. Ya give him a shout and set up a meeting, but he may have someone by now and that maybe why he didn't reply before.…Disinformer
Date: 9/7/2006 6:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 62826    I would send him one more e-mail only because he really hasn't logged on in awhile and much by chance he may see your message and reply. If he doesn't return your message in a fair amount of time, maybe a week at the most, I would just write him off.

Date: 9/8/2006 5:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 30786    I think that if it is still bothering you and you want some closure on it, then yes, write him. You never know if he did get that first message or not, and now you'll know. Write him ONCE and if he doesn't write back, then you will know for sure that he is not interested and you will be able to move on knowing that you tried your best.

Date: 9/17/2006 4:10:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 33256    Thanks for the advice, everyone! I got an email back from him the other day, and he gave me his voicemail number (he told me he has no other phone). I left a message with him just a few minutes ago. We'll see how it goes!
