Is it possible to be fair and balanced?

Most claim to be fair and balanced but is that possible? Can you honestly judge someone fairly if their views are different from your own? I have been online for about 7 years and I have yet to find any website, including news sites that are honestly fair and balanced. Since the web is a cross section of society, that lead me to ask the question. Is that even possible?

Seems like it's intentional for a reporter to leave out certain angles in order to validate their own points instead of giving the reader the complete story and allow them to make their own decisions. Sometimes I think the media thinks we're all a little stupid, like all we read or listen to is one single source.
Date: 12/18/2005 1:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 7830    It's possible to a degree. Everyone and everything is going to biased towards one side somehow, but some will be able to accept the fact that they MAY be wrong.
Date: 12/18/2005 2:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 39370    I think it's possible, but it can be rare. I always try my best to be fair and balanced at the same time, course I am just human so it's usually either one or the other lol.

Sub-consciously the person telling the story is going to see it in the point of view that makes their views look best. Religion and politics are the main things I find it hard to be balanced about.
Date: 12/18/2005 7:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 28363    It seems that usually the news will be biased, at least unconciously, towards the mind set of the owner to some extent.
Date: 12/18/2005 9:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 16671    Naw, My husband says, I'm never balanced. LOL.
Date: 12/19/2005 8:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 2030    If you have any opinion at all you're no longer impartial.
Date: 12/19/2005 8:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 2030    And anyone who tells you they are fair and always look at both sides is most likely just trying to justify their actions somehow.
