Remembering the Armed Forces

I know I can't do any advertising for specific causes here but I just wanted to see who will be sending care packages to the armed forces this year? We sent two boxes last year,one to a male and on to a female. The simplest things make the biggest difference to them. We included things like baby wipes,canned foods with the pull tops,playing cards,cds,hard candy that wouldn't melt,feminine items,etc. You cannot of course send any religious items and if you send socks or other gear it has to be certain kinds.

The guys and girls appreciate it so much. They don't get to bathe for weeks in some parts so baby wipes so they can wash up before they eat mean so much to them. We continued to send packages to one that wrote to us with his personal info. He is hopefully home now. You don't have to support the war or the president to support our soldiers.

I am very proud of what they do for our country. Thanks to them we can sit on the computer and argue politics and even try to prove we are more intelligent than everyone else. They are giving their time for us. I know everyone doesn't have the funds to do this. In these days it's hard to find the time to even keep food on the table. You can go to certain sites and send e-cards for free.

I would also like to send a thank you out to all the readers out there that are serving or have family serving this great country of ours. Also if you know of a soldier specifically that would like to receive a care package you can send me the address. My daughters school is sending things out this year.
