Today at 12:15 central time will be two years that my husband Mark died. He was at work and they wanted to finish up so they could leave for home early. They were in Missouri and they wanted to leave before the weather got bad. They were expecting snow. I was told Mark was so excited he packed his stuff the night before and he didn't even want to go back to the hotel after work. The other two guys convinced him they could take time to come back and shower and stuff before hitting the road.

The night before was a Friday and they had gone to a Rascal Flatts concert.Mark had gotten them to sign his hat and some shirts. He must have stayed up all night. I talked to him around midnight after the concert and was kidding him about having a good time while I was home with morning sickness. He was so excited about coming home. He had been gone a month. He was gone when I found out we were expecting our son. Our 5 year old had also given him the riot act for missing Halloween. We were going to move into a bigger place while he was home.

I remember that morning I was watching something about John F. Kennedy,it was the 40th year anniversary. I had an uneasy feeling,so after cleaning house from top to bottom I decided to nap before I had to go pick my daughter up. I awoke when I heard a car in the driveway. My first thought was something bad has happened. I thought something may have happened to my daughter. I jerked the door open before the young officer had a chance to knock. As soon as he said Mrs._ and I said yes I knew it was Mark. He said there has been an accident and I said is he dead? I knew thats the only reason they would send the state police. He said yes. I remember not alot else for a long time.

It has been 2 years now and I am not getting to the point to where I can remember Mark and smile without crying. Mark had a great love for children so I do what I can to help childrens causes. Every year money is donated to St Judes in memory of Mark at Christmas and on his birthday. I know this is long but I thought you guys may like to know what kind of person Mark was.
