Deep your question, difficult the answer...It's like comparing death....would I prefer to die of a sudden heart attack without options to good byes, or would I rather a slow tortured end???? The truth of the matter is that I don't really know...Would I want a friend to tell me the truth if such was at his/her hand??? The answer is "yes"...I would want to know....Would he/she be a friend if they kept it from me??? Of course, either way I wouldn't blame this person for whichever way he/she could handle such.....As a mother, I don't lie to my teenagers about the realities of life as painful as this is. I try though not to kill the illusion in the process. My dad was very tought with me about realities and fairy tales....but although I'm very weak/fragile in the inside, I've learned to be strong when I need to...I guess that's what's all about, facing the reality as painful as it may be and take it from whatever source it's presented...If it's from a friend....I would love this one even more, for knowing how hard the decision musted been to tell me, to make me ache...to then with time be "free"....It's a difficult choice....  |

There has to be a balance. The truth but with diplomacy. I think a true friend is someone that knows you well enough to know if you can handle the truth or you would rather not hear it. |
