THANK YOU, JESUS

This is Easter morning. The sun is just coming up and the sounds of the birds singing their morning songs against a backdrop of bright, spring flowers paints a beautiful picture of life reborn. This is the day we have set aside to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. The pain, the suffering and cruel death on the cross has been overcome by His victory over death, hell and the grave. The price He paid may in the eyes of the spiritually blind seem as nothing, but on a spiritual level, what Jesus did for us was the most monumental event in the history of the universe, an event that not only affects each of us living today, but actually reaches down through time to affect all who have ever lived and died trusting in God. It reaches back to Adam and Eve who committed the first sin and brought death, both spiritual and physical into the world. It reaches to Abraham, called the friend of God, who walked with Him in faith. It reaches to Moses, the great and revered giver of the law...a law that could not save, but was merely a temporary patch over the festering wound of sin. It reaches down to me, a person who has no righteousness of her own, but whose only righteousness and hope must be in the only sinless Son of God. It reaches to you and to all who live now and who will ever live as long as this Earth shall stand. You see, no amount of personal restitution, no amount of repentance, no amount of animal sacrifice could atone for sin. Only the perfect sacrifice of the only Son of God could set us free and give us eternal life. God's plan is complete and now there is only victory if we simply accept what has been done for us and make Jesus lord of our lives. So, thank you Jesus for the tremendous sacrifice you made for me...for us all. Thank you God for the perfect plan of salvation to cover our sins. Hallelujah, Praise the Lord, He is RISEN. It's a glorious, glorious day!!! Happy Resurrection Day Everyone.
