Life's Ballet, For My Father-in-Law Robert Mann. May 30, 1928-January 30, 2004

Life, a journey, like the leaf on a stream,
Vision, memories, some saw in a dream.
Emotions, feelings, the touch of others,
Times' yesterdays are tomorrows teachers.

Lessons of knowledge, seem darker at day,
While leaf and stream dance lifes' ballet.
Pain, sorrow, heavy hearts of stone,
Shared by those, now left alone.

Winds whisper calls, my soul departs,
An ending begins as new life starts.
My hands have touched, left fingerprints,
Love known, shared, leaves lifes' heartprints.

Tears are cried by ones still standing,
Asking, searching, we pray kneeling.
Leaf and stream dance lifes' ballet,
As mortal things pass away.

Freedom found, promise of grace,
Death becomes a new birthplace.
Dimensions of love show me the way,
As leaf and stream dance lifes' ballet.

Date: 1/30/2004 10:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 27403    Oh, King, I could not read the whole poem as it immediately made me start crying, but it sounds as though it is beautiful! My prayers are with you and your wife and your whole family, as the loss of a beloved patriarch leaves a hole that is not to be filled! But, as I said on the other site, he no longer has to fight!!! ANd here, I want to say also, a Thank You to him! Thank you, Bob Mann, for fighting for us, for marching for us and suffering for us, that we might be free. And forgive us for forgeting to ever really say Thank You for going to the Korean War! Love and prayers to you and yours King! I will pray for your family tonight again!
