Date: 1/14/2004 12:18:00 PM From Authorid: 49091 There is these new things on the market called Vapor shots. Its liek sticking ur nose in some vicks vapor rub hehehe but you know whats a LOT cheaper n lasts longer? Icy Hot! Take some icy hot or one of those creams n rub it in your hands and take a deep breath! I've had a cold n I just did that like 12 days ago. hehehe I hope you feel better soon! *huggs* |
Date: 1/14/2004 1:38:00 PM From Authorid: 62408 If you're not on any types of medications or anything, Tylenol Cold non-drowsy formula works really well. Its an over-the-counter pill. It takes care of body aches, congestion, cough, headache...that kind of stuff. Also, keep drinking fluids. Gatorade if you can handle it, and lots of water. The gatorade isn't a favorite of many, but the electrolytes will help keep you from getting dehydrated. Hot tea will help too, with lemon. As for something to clear your nasal passages, sometimes good old-fashioned Vicks Vapo Rub does the trick. If you don't want the icky gel feeling, I believe it comes in both patch and cream forms now, too. Or you can add a teaspoon of it to a pot of hot water (in like a coffee filter or something) and as the water boils, it will release it into the air. Sleep when you can, the extra rest will help you heal. If you don't improve within another week or so, go to your doctor to get checked out, just to make sure it's not something more serious that might require an anti-biotic or something. Take care, and I hope you feel better soon. --Christine-3 |
Date: 1/14/2004 1:40:00 PM From Authorid: 62222 Make sure you have a cold/flu though. You could be allergic to something near you and that is why you don't ever get better. I have to say that when I was sick the Tylenol Cold/Flu stuff worked fairly well too. Drink lots of fluids and make sure you hack that congestion up and get it out of your body. I know that sounds so nasty....<RegretfulHalo> |
Date: 1/14/2004 3:15:00 PM From Authorid: 28670 Drink about 4 cups of mint tea a day, about 4 tall glasses of orange juice and double that for water. The object is to keep your body hydrated and promote a strong immune system. Along with that, you might want to eat things that are heavy with garlic. Be consistent. I hope you take my advice and feel better!! |
Date: 1/14/2004 3:28:00 PM From Authorid: 62249 Take masses doses of vitamin C, you can't overdose on it becasue its water soluable, so as long as u consume liquids n make trips tot he potty ull be OK... n i mean massive doses... it always works for me. -MC Bacon |
