I miss your kind face, and your shy, crooked smile; I miss how you'd stop by and chat for a while; I miss your bad jokes and those stories you'd share, (It's quieter now that you're no longer there); And, those songs from the Wizard of Oz you would sing.... I'll bet you think no one remembers those things, But, I do.
I miss all the creative works you'd show me, Your paintings and writings and photography. You proudly stood by as I made my critique, And basked in the measure of praise I would speak. I saw your true soul in your pictures and rhymes. I'm sure you think I don't remember those times, But I do
I'm sorry for all the bad times that you had, And how at the end you were treated so bad.... But, pity them now for this one fact is true... They must bear the guilt for their sins against you. The sun rises still, and the world carries on, I bet you think nobody cares that you're gone... But...I do.
Sometimes this old world is a cold, lonely place And, parting can leave such a deep, empty space. I miss all the warmth of the friendship we shared; The pleasure in having one true friend who cared. Well, I've dried my tears, and, I've gone on somehow I guess you think nobody misses you now... But, I do.
