Think about this carefully~Silversnake~

Today in Theology we read a story that touched me very much. It's a long story so sadly I won't type it to share with you all but I shall tell you what it is about and then I have a question for you all to think about and comment on if you please. I shall answer the question myself in this post.

Ok the story goes along the lines of this. A middle age man goes to his doctor because he's sick. The doctor does some test and calls him back to find out the results. The doctor tells him he's got 3 weeks to live because he has some uncureable disease. So the man decides to go out and empty his bank account and check into a fancy beach hotel. The man is usually quiet and no very out going but when he gets to the rich hotel he notices how un relaxed everyone is and starts telling stories, giving advice, and meeting people he'd never normally meet. But he decides that he might as well live his last 3 weeks wonderfully. However while the man is on his last day of a 2 week vacation the doctor notices he made an error and was lookin at the wrong file of results. The hotel the same day was throwing a party for the man since he was so wonderful to everyone. However, he doesn't show and the doctor doesn't get through to him. The man dies, but not from a disease a car accident. Yet if the dcotor never told him he might die he would of never lived the way he did at the end of his life.

My question to you is: do you live your life to the fullest? What would you do if you only had 3 weeks to live?

I thought about this for our class discussion and decided this: 1. I would go away to places I had never been, but not alone I would bring family and my boyfriend alone. I wouldn't want to go another day without them. 2. I would do something for someone I didn't know. You know like teach someone something new, or work in a soup kitchen for a while. Something I never did but have wanted to do. 3. I wouldn't have a care in the world I would do everything i could to die happy.

you know those things you are about to list. Do them now...because you never know when you will die it could happen anyday.
