My baby has a lump on his neck.... =Oddy=

Hey everyone. Last Saturday, I noticed a knot or a lump on Hunter's neck right below his ear. I immediately called the doctor and she checked it out and said it was a calcium deposit. Has anyone ever heard of this happening to a newborn? I've never heard of that happening and neither has anyone else I've talked to. Do they go away??

Date: 12/3/2003 3:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 58078    My sister in law just had a lump removed from her neck cause the doctor thought maybe it was lymphnoma (sp?), they did a biopsy and it wasn't that. I'm sure it is nothing to worry about. One of my bosses has a bump on his neck below the ear but I never asked him about it. I guess its nothing. I've heard of calcium deposits but dont' know enough or anything about it to tell you more..sorry.
Date: 12/3/2003 8:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 8941    Both of my sons had them, and so did my cousins kids...I was told it was a gland or lymph node, though. They went away, whatever they were.

Date: 7/10/2005 9:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 63118    has it gone away yet?
