She has a body image problem. She needs to get help so it doesn't escalate. As a man, I like women to look healthy. I don't care for the aneroxic look that seems so fashionable these days. Although many heathy people lack excess body fat, they also are not unusually thin. There is a huge difference between health and thin.  |

Easy. Modern day entertainment and it's obbsession with skinny women has caused the society to want to acchieve that at all costs. This in turn make even the smallest of girls want to be smaller, even if it is unhealthy. Not only do most of these girls look great the way they are, they would be making themselves look worse by losing weight. They don't seem to understand that though and it is a shame.  |

I think people who purposely starve themselves to fit a certain "image" needs to step back and take a look at themselves. When I was in 7th grade I was 5'6, and 102 lbs, but that was because I an ocd and I wouldnt allow myself to touch anything, for fear I might get sick. Now im a healthy weight, and very happy. I wouldnt change my weight for anyone.  |

It's weird. On one hand we are obsessed with being skinny, on the other hand about half of society is obese! My daughter has a very good figure, she wears a size 9, yet she always wears a baggy zip up jacket because she isn't a size 0 like her friend who is sickly looking. With her friend it is natural because her mother has the exact same figure..  |

Well all you have to do is turn on the tv or look at any magazine on the stands and see why girls are so obsessed with being waif thin. But you know what, that is not natural! With the exception of some women who just happen to have high metabolims or inhereted that type of body of course. I think it is sad, and I have even made a post or two about this exact same subject. I really wish more women would embrace themselves for who the are and understand that they are that way for a reason.  |

I think I am fat I use to be so skinny I look back at photos of me when I was 14 and I can see I looked way to skinny people use to ask me if a had an eating disorder. So I got the hint I was too skinny I did nothing though I just caught up natuarly. And then I got to normal wait and then my mum started calling me fat so now I am self consious and eeeeeerrrrr. The thing that ticks me of is that guys can get away with being fat and girls have this recamended size that we all have to be. Cus peopele gave me trobble because I was to skinny now I am not skinny enaf an people just give us a break already.  |

I think your friend skinny is unhealtyh. Skinny is ok as long as you actually have SOME fat and muscle. But I guess people thik skinny just looks better. I'm not stick thin and I am happy w/ how I look. I think it has to do w/ peer pressure  |

The media has portrayed people as HAVING to be skinny...but some people have problems which are not alwyas brought on by the media, but by emotional problems....people in the general population dont help the problem at all because many people tease people who are NOT skinny...and this is wrong, but wont change, which makes people want to loose more weight...its just a vigerous cycle! *hugz*  |

Some guys say they like curves so I have heard anyway I guess we need I guys opinyion here. But ok I have a friend right guys call her kankels and say she is fat and stuff and a guy in our class was giveing her dirty looks when she ate on a class trip so she told me and some friends anyway I was thinking but why dose he not do that to the guys it anoyes me acctaully how guys get to get away with it and girls get evil eyes if they are either to skinny or fat. |
