A RAINBOW AFTER THE STORM By Carolyn R. Echols 4/26/02
The bitter winds howl, and dark storm clouds hang low Deep thunderclaps echo through valleys below Sharp lightening streaks wildly across the black sky And, oh the storm's fury as it gathers nigh
But, after the lash of the tempest is o'er And, the meadows and forests are peaceful once more, In the freshly washed quiet and refreshing calm There's a glorious rainbow after the storm
Many times in your life you will face tempests, too; Harsh winds of adversity may batter you. Your teardrops may fall like a torrent of rain, And, you feel you might lose hold and drown in your pain.
Let faith be your refuge when storm clouds amass. Rest assured in the promise that this too shall pass. You're never forsaken, you're never alone, In the midst of your darkness, the sun isn't gone.
The raindrops will cease; all those black clouds will thin; The skies up above you will turn blue again; The sunshine will break through, so golden and warm, And, there'll be a rainbow after the storm
