This is just one of Many stories about Raven Rock. This place is full of mystery, old forgotten stories of ghost, murders, and monsters.. Raven rock is a geological rock formation which extends over a well known river in the south.

These two brothers, Eugene and Howard were just farm boys and as it goes these boys were no different than any other teenagers. One saturday night, they decided to sneak out to the barn and get into thier papa's wine barrel. So after getting themself a good buzz...

They became really brave and decided to visit Raven Rock... Now everyone in these parts know about the ghost down at the river. But no one ever talks about it.. except the kids. Oh they were pleny scared so they got papa's shotgun and a few shells. They loaded the shells with silver dimes they had cut up. They thought silver was the only way to kill a ghost.

For years people had seen A ball of light moving over the cliff and down to the water. All Eugene and Howard wanted to do was get a good look. This night proved to be a fatal mistake for the boys. No one likes this story around here because it cant be explained and they fear, even the memory.

Having arrived at Raven Rock the boys took a seat about 50 yards from the edge. According to the younger brother Eugene. They had been there about an hour or so... When, from nowhere appeared a ball of light, large enough to drive a model "T" through.. There was this Whirling Sound and the "Haint" (Which they called ghost) Started moving toward the boys.

The older boy Howard had the shotgun and protecting his brother, he moved foward to threaten the ghost with both barrels.. fired once and then the light sucked Howard into it. Eugene was so scared he ran home screaming. The boy was so badly shaken, his parents could not understand what happen to Howard.

Only after the sherrif was called the next morning could the boy even talk. The sheriff wanted Eugene to lead him to his brother Howard, but this was out of the question as the boy would become hysterical. The sheriff and some local men used bloodhounds to located the missing teenager.

What they found at Raven Rock was beyond belief. On The edge of Raven Rock stood Howard upright with all the flesh stripped from his bones. Not a drop of blood was found anywhere.

How it changed my life:

So, What was this ball of light... Monster? Alien? Demon?
