I need some help here....

I used to be quite the blimp, if I say so myself. About 170 pounds at the most. I went on a diet, lost 30 pounds, and am still slightly pudgy. The problem? I'm having trouble losing the last fifteen pounds. I work out religiously, I don't eat much, hardly drink soda, drink lots of water, and I'm still not losing weight. I'm sick of looking like the Goodyear blimp while everybody else is running around with nice figures. I feel like the only one in the world with a curvy body whereas everybody else seems to have "stick" figures. I feel so fat. Heart trouble and diabetes run in our family and I don't want to get either of those diseases, nor do I want to be a size 12 all my life. I look like a pig. Can someone help me?

Date: 9/22/2002 8:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    "I don't eat much," EAT.......Just adjust your diet....eat lots of veggies fruits, cut some of the carbs *right?* sweets and such out. but don't just NOT eat much. that SLOWS your metabolism and makes it HARDER to lose weight because your body is PRESERVING your body fat because your not feeding it enough....good luck!  
Date: 9/22/2002 8:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 45630    Do what Becky said but remember that when you diet you have a plataeuing time. This means that you don't lose weight for a certain period of time. This takes different amounts of time for different people depending on your metabolism. Just keep doing what your doing.

Date: 9/22/2002 9:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 53961    I wish I were a size 12! Just do as they say and you will see improvement. Also, lay off the salt and snacks loaded with it. Try eating six small meals a day instead of three large ones. The ingredients label on a product are in order by weight. If the first 1st, 2nd, or 3rd item is sugar or salt, don't use it. Walking is the best exercise. Good luck!
